Validation works

Eliminating mistakes as early as possible in the localisation process will have an overall cost-reducing effect and reduce the time required during the proofreading stage. There are, however, more ways to eliminate unnecessary effort. We often find that proofreaders revise texts from translators that have previously been validated, as the text was extracted from a translation memory or is the result of a pre-translation process. Yamagata Europe has found a solution for this issue: by highlighting the recuperated portions of the translated documents, the proofreader can decide to skip these parts and concentrate on the sections containing new text.
