Yamagata Europe coordinates technical translations into all Asian and European languages, paying special attention to cultural differences in the various target markets. Each member of the translation team, which consists of dedicated localisation project managers and supporting language engineers, offers a linguistic background and thorough technical training. Pragmatic and all-round, they strive for continuous improvements in workflows and processes attuned to the needs of the client.

People

We have more than 400 linguists working very closely with our team. This large and reliable pool of expertise includes highly specialised translators and single language vendors. All work with the latest translation software and have, in partnership with us, a notable record for flexibility and punctuality. Our approach to vendors is based on strict selection criteria, continuous evaluation of the quality of the delivered translations and proactive retention practices to counter the shortage of top-notch, specialised translators.

Your single point of contact at Yamagata Europe oversees the entire documentation lifecycle: ensuring that deadlines are met, providing quality assurance, and guaranteeing that communication between client, suppliers and the support team progresses smoothly and efficiently. This attention to detail (also) continues after the translation has been delivered. All Yamagata project managers use "YP Track" our effective and integrated project management system. Thanks to task automation they can work faster and more accurately, while permitting our clients to review the progress and status of their projects on our extranet.

Technology

To ensure our flexibility in meeting client requirements, we invest continuously in technology development and new software tools. Language engineering helps reduce costs by increasing translation speed and by minimising the need for post-processing "brush-up" or final product layout. Our efficiently maintained translation memories contribute to quality of output, by guaranteeing consistency of style and terminology within the translated text and with earlier manuals.
