Software localisation
Yamagata Europe has a specialised team of language engineers and computational linguists who provide technical support to the localisation project managers. They are involved in file conversions, quality testing, building and maintaining translation memories and terminology databases, and the (pre)processing of files for use with various CAT (Computer Aided Translation) tools. They can handle software-specific file formats, including executable programs, resource files and XML-based strings. Through customised workflows and processes, software localisation can be done without access to the source code or the developers and can begin even before the final release of the software is available. Our tools enable automatic recognition of truncated or overlapping text and incorrect definition of shortcuts, accelerators and access keys.
Yamagata Europe's service offerings include the compilation and testing of localised software while safeguarding consistency with the user documentation at all times.
